Coordinator Guide
How to earn by connecting artists with the right service providers on STANDARD.
What Is a Coordinator?
Coordinators are trusted members of the STANDARD community who connect buyers (artists) with the right service providers. Think of it as matchmaking — you know which provider delivers the best results for a particular need, and you facilitate that connection.
When you coordinate an order, you earn a fee for your role in making the transaction happen.
How It Works
- Identify the need — An artist needs a specific service (mixing, mastering, feedback)
- Match with a provider — Recommend a provider whose skills match the artist's needs
- Facilitate the order — The buyer places the order with you listed as coordinator
- Earn your fee — When the order completes, your coordination fee is automatically transferred to your Stripe Connect account
Coordinator Fees
Coordinator fees are negotiated per order and are capped at 20% of the service price. The fee is deducted from the total before the provider receives their share.
Example
Service price: $200
Coordinator fee (5%): $10
Provider receives: $190
The default coordinator fee is 5%. Higher percentages may be set per order (up to the 20% cap) based on the value you provide.
Requirements
- Reviewer account — You must be an approved reviewer on STANDARD
- Stripe Connect — Active Stripe Connect account for receiving fees
- Good standing — No active disputes or ethics violations
Best Practices
- Know your providers — Only recommend providers whose work quality you trust
- Be transparent — Buyers should understand you're earning a coordination fee
- Follow up — Check that orders are progressing smoothly
- Don't self-deal — Don't coordinate orders to yourself as provider
- Quality over volume — A few successful matches build more trust than many bad ones
What Happens During Disputes
If an order you coordinated enters a dispute:
- Your coordinator fee is frozen alongside the provider's payment
- You may be asked to provide context about the order
- If the dispute is resolved in the buyer's favor (refund), your fee is also refunded
- If the dispute is resolved in the provider's favor (release), your fee is released
Coordinator Terms
By acting as a coordinator on STANDARD, you agree to:
- Recommend providers based on quality, not personal relationships
- Disclose your coordinator role to all parties
- Not engage in fee-splitting arrangements outside the platform
- Accept that coordinator fees are subject to the same escrow and dispute rules as provider payments
- Comply with STANDARD's Terms of Service and Code of Conduct
